A self-portrait of myself done in 2017, this one has been hanging in my private collection for several years. I am feeling called to paint a new portrait, so this one is looking for its forever home. The title of this piece comes from V. Baylissa Frederick, benzo survivor turned therapeutic coach, who now offers emotional support to individuals who find themselves in the same predicament. Is it weird that a painting of me in my lacy purple underwear might be hanging in a stranger’s home? Probably. I’m cool with it.
